69 Deadbeats Arrested, 8 Jailed, $38K Collected In Child Support For Morris Kids: Sheriff
Sheriff's Office conducted week-long warrant sweep, expects more arrests soon.

Over the course of one week 69 people were arrested and more than $38,000 collected for back child support in Morris County, Undersheriff William Schievella said.
The Morris County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Sheriff’s Association of New Jersey conducted a Child Support Warrant Sweep that lead to the arrests.
As a result, a total of $38,300 was collected to go to children in Morris County, and more arrests are expected in the coming weeks, Schievella said.

Eight of the 69 arrested were placed in the Morris County Correctional Facility.
“This type of operation is a focus of the Sheriff’s Warrant Squad detectives as it hurts the children of our communities through nonsupport,” Schievella said in a statement.
