Fire Destroys Parsippany Home, Community Rallies To Family's Side
Nearly $20,000 has been raised so far for the family to "rebuild their lives."
PARSIPPANY, NJ — Community members are rallying for a family who lost their home in Parsippany this holiday season.
On Monday, a family of three lost their home to a structure fire on Midvale Avenue. Several departments responded to the fire to extinguish it, but it’s now uninhabitable.
According to a relative of the family, the residents and their dogs made it out safely, but a turtle did not survive.

Now, a GoFundMe has been launched by relatives to help rebuild the lives of those who lost almost everything in the blaze.
“Right now, they’re focused on the basics: temporary housing, replacing essential items, and figuring out the long road ahead,” the GoFundMe reads. “Insurance helps, but it does not cover everything, and the immediate costs add up quickly. We created this fundraiser to help relieve some of the financial pressure so they can focus on rebuilding their lives rather than worrying about day-to-day expenses.”
