Body Found In Boonton Reservoir Identified As Missing Man

PARSIPPANY, NJ — The person found in the Boonton Reservoir in Parsippany over the weekend has been identified as Sean Stohl, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office confirmed.

Stohl, a 53-year-old from Boonton, was reported missing by a friend on Nov. 21. Police asked for the communities help locating Stohl in early January, describing him "endangered." According to Boonton police, Stohl had a medical condition that required medication, and it was not clear if he continued to take the medication after his disappearance.

The Prosecutor's Office declined to provide additional information Wednesday afternoon, citing the ongoing investigation.

Stohl's body was found in the reservoir around noon on Sunday; it was removed by 2 p.m.
