Fall Festival Registration Deadline in the Week Ahead
Here's a look at what's going on this week in Parsippany.

Thursday, August 1 will be the last day to register for the Fall Festival Space Discount. The Twelfth Annual Fall Festival will be held on Sunday, September 22.
Vendor and display spaces on a first come first serve basis and vary depending on location and intended use. If you or your group wishes to participate, simply click here and complete the agreement and mail it to the address indicated.
After eight years, Parsippany's Fall Festival had to be eliminated in 2010 because of fiscal constraints. The Festival was reinstated with the help of 10-year-old Jamie Yezner, who has been writing to corporations and local businesses to participate as sponsors.
The last week in July will be quiet as the Parsippany-Troy Hills Township operates on a summer schedule. There are no scheduled meetings this week, but next week promises to be lively.
The Parsippany-Troy Hills Township Council will meet on Tuesday, August 6. An agenda has not been made available but it is expected that the council will introduce the controversial Waterview ordinance, as the Aug. 6 and Aug. 20 meetings have been moved to Parsippany Hills High School.
Opponents have announced they will try to flood the meeting with enough people to reach maximum capacity and shut down the building, preventing the council from taking action.
