A study by financial data analysis website valuepenguin.com shows the Garden State – one of 44 in the country that takes part in the Powerball lottery – is among the tops when it comes to most tickets purchased per resident, and total dollars spent on the game since the current jackpot began rolling two months ago.
The last Powerball jackpot was won on Nov. 4, 2015 and has been accumulating ever since, with two drawings per week on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
