PARSIPPANY, N.J. – Tabitha Gessling has four years before she goes to college, but she's setting her road to higher education now.The Lake Hiawatha resident and eighth-grader was awarded this weekend with a scholarship from the New Jersey Suburban Youth Football League.Gessling won the scholarship for a combination of her cheerleading efforts and an essay about what the NJSYFL has taught her.Gessling currently attends Central Middle School and has been cheering since 2008.
