Last iPad Meeting for Freshman Parents Tuesday Morning

Ninth graders are getting iPads this school year. If you have a student entering 9th grade, at least one parent has to attend one of the iPad meetings. The last meeting is at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Parsippany High School Auditorium. Students will receive their their iPad at Orientation on Sept. 4

The district hosted the third iPad meeting Monday night at Parsippany Hills High School.

Also, going on Tuesday morning is Gentle Yoga For Seniors. At 10 a.m., head over to the Parsippany-Troy Hills Free Public Library, for a $3 class that will teach “proper posture, better breathing techniques, gentle movement of nearly every muscle in your body (from your head to toe).  This class will leave you feeling refreshed, relaxed, and rejuvenated.  All of the poses may be done seated in a chair,” according to th library. Mary Lou Hale's School of Dance is offering free trial ballet lessons for 3 and 4 year olds on Tuesday from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. Contact them at 973-334-1921 or info@marylouhales.com to reserve your spot since space is limited. It’s located at 135 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha.

At 7 p.m. at the Lake Hiawatha library branch,  there’s a program that is a Spanish introductory course designed for students with little or no previous study of Spanish. This 4-course class teaches basic language patterns and vocabulary.  Focus in on all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, according to the library.

Registration is required, so contact the LH Branch Library at 973-335-0952. Vicky Santana, Lead Teacher of World Languages & Spanish Teach at Parsippany Hills High School will be conducting these programs.
