Lifelong Parsippany Resident, Schools Maintenance Foreman Dies at 54
'Billy' McManus was known for his big heart.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – Department head, firefighter, musician: William “Billy” McManus was a jack of all trades.
The lifelong Parsippany man died recently at the age of 54.
McManus was born in East Orange and lived in town his entire life, where he spent more than 20 years working as the Parsippany-Troy Hills Board of Education Maintenance Department Foreman.

McManus was the past commissioner of Parsippany District 5 Fire Department and a member of Saint Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church.
McManus loved his New York Jets and was an accomplished musician who had a special talent for the piano and organ.

He’s survived by a large extended family.
