Man Assaulted While Walking Near Route 10 In Parsippany: Cops

Victim allegedly punched in face, stomach after random encounter, police said.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – A man walking in a driveway near Route 10 Saturday night was punched in the face and stomach without provocation, Parsippany police said.

At 6:25 p.m. Parsippany police received a call from Morris Plains Police regarding a victim of an assault at 2467 Route 10, Officer Brian Conover said. Upon arrival officers were told that the victim, a 29-year-old victim from Phillipsburg, was assaulted in the driveway of the location and said he was punched multiple times in the face and abdomen, Conover said.

He was taken to Morristown Medical Center by the Morris Plains Minute Men and treated for facial injuries. No description of the suspect was given.
