Man Charged In Connection To Wife's Suicide: Morris Prosecutor
The 79-year-old man is accused of giving "inconsistent" statements to police about his wife's suicide death.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — A Parsippany man faces several charges after he allegedly interfered with a police investigation into his wife's suicide, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp said.
Patrick Mirrione, 79, was arrested shortly after his wife died by suicide on Friday afternoon, Knapp said. Mirrone called 911 after he reportedly found his wife dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a Concord Way home, Knapp said.
During the investigation, Mirrone is accused of giving inconsistent statements to police about his "knowledge of and participation in the death," Kanpp said. Mirrone is also accused of altering or removing items from the scene.

Mirrone is charged with obstructing administration of law or other governmental function and tampering with physical evidence. He has not been charged with murder.
Mirrone is lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility with an upcoming court date.

Mirrone's wife was not identified, and the investigation remains ongoing.
