NAACP Chair Asks To Participate In Hands-On Firearms Simulation In Morris County

N.J. Police Chiefs to demonstrate officer training when using deadly force.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – In an attempt to help those not in law enforcement better understand the use of force by police officer, the New Jersey Association of Police Chiefs will host leaders of the NAACP in a hands-on demonstration Friday.

Roslyn Brock, Chair of the Board of Directors of the National Chapter of NAACP, will join members of the New Jersey Association of Police Chiefs at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8 at the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy. The event will include a demonstration of the Firearms Simulator to help show a police officer’s decision making process in Use of Force and Use of Deadly Force situations.

The demonstration is connected directly with the highly publicized police shooting incidents that have occurred nationwide, the county said in a statement. The NAACP requested the session.
