New Pizza Shop Set To Replace Shuttered Dry Cleaner In Parsippany
Last Monday, the township planning board was presented with the plans for "Pizzanada," a brand-new pizza business.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — A new pizza shop has made plans to move into town.
On Jan. 8, the Parsippany-Troy Hills Planning Board heard plans for a new pizzeria to take over the boarded-up Lake French Cleaners at 102 North Beverwyck Road.
The application, filed by Petocz Lake Hiawatha, LLC., asked the township's planning board for approval for a new establishment named Pizzanada.

According to Joseph Petocz, the operator of the future restaurant, Pizzanada, he will be drawing inspiration from another Pizzanada location that he currently owns in Bloomfield.
The name Pizzanada, according to Petocz, is a combination of the words pizza and empanadas, two of their best-selling menu items.

Pizzanada, which was brought to life in March 2020, is a restaurant that offers a wide variety of vegan options, such as vegan Philly cheese steak pizza, vegan spinach and ricotta deep-fried lasagna, and a vegan Philly cheese steak empanada.
Their menu also includes non-vegan classics such as spinach ricotta ravioli, buffalo chicken empanadas, rigatoni bolognese and Margherita pizza.

Once Pizzanada opens in Parsippany, Petocz said the hours of operation would be from 11 to 9:30 p.m. on the weekdays and from 11 to 10:30 p.m. on the weekends. Both dine-in and takeout will be available at the new location.
The restaurant space is approximately 1,500 square feet, and around 560 square feet will be dedicated to a dining area, which will seat fourteen people at a time.
The application was approved unanimously by the planning board on Jan. 8.
