Parsippany Hills HS Relay For Life Coming Up
The high school set a goal of raising $90,000 for cancer research during this year's Relay For Life.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — The Morris County Relay for Life is coming up in May, and Parsippany Hills High School students are aiming to raise $90,000 for cancer research.
The relay will be held at the high school on Saturday, May 18 from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. So far, students have raised $21,000, but are looking to raise another $69,000. Fundraising efforts kicked off last weekend with a fitness crawl through Morristown, which raised $5,000.
This will be the first time the relay has been held at Parsippany Hills High School, and is being organized and run primarily by students. The relay includes an opening ceremony that honors those affected by cancer, followed by a survivor and caregiver walk, and a luminary lighting ceremony.
