Parsippany Man Busted With Dozens Of Bags Of Heroin: Cops

Driver was stopped in Wayne for talking on his cell phone, police report.

WAYNE, NJ - Police found 67 bags of suspected heroin during a traffic stop Friday afternoon, authorities said.

Detectives Ken Hart and Brendan Rigler stopped a vehicle on Route 46 West for the driver, Robert Plummer, 21, talking on his cellphone and failing to maintain lanes, said Detective Capt. Laurence Martin.

Detective Hart found 27 suspected bags of heroin in Plummer’s possession, 40 in passenger Michael Wallin’s possession, and three suspected used bags of heroin; all the bags were stamped ”1738” in blue ink, Martin said.

Plummer and Wallin were arrested and transported to police headquarters, Martin said. Wallin had an outstanding $200 warrant out of Newton. They were issued summons complaints and provided court dates, police said.

Plummer, of Parsippany, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a hypodermic needle, and issued motor vehicle summonses.

Wallin, 30, of Mountain Lakes, was charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
