Parsippany Police Break Jar to Free Skunk's Head
The officer broke the jar with his baton after failed attempts to pull the jar off the animal.

Parsippany Police Officers Alfred Keiser and Michael Ruggier and Parsippany Animal Control responded to a home on North Beverwyck Road at 6:13 p.m. this past Sunday.
There was a report of a wild animal with its head stuck in a jar, according to a release from the police department.
When they got there, Keiser found a skunk with its head stuck in a mason-style jar. “The officers tried to pull the jar off of the animals’ head with negative results,” said the release, so while the animal control officer held the skunk’s body still, Keiser used his expandable baton to break the jar off of the skunk’s head.
