Morris Plains officer, friend of Parsippany cop who found dog, has new canine companion.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – The pit bull left outside the Parsippany Animal Shelter leashed to a pole in 23-degree temperatures has a new home Wednesday.
Morris Plains Police Officer Nicholas Grewahr stepped forward and adopted the pit bull, Parsippany police announced.
On Jan. 18, Parsippany Police Officer J. Williams found the dog tied to the fence outside the building on Beverwyck Road. It was determined the dog was left there between 9 and 10 a.m., and by the time police found him, his bowl of water was already frozen.
