Veterans Memorial Park Shut Down In Parsippany

The park was closed Monday and will remain so until spring, officials said.

PARSIPPANY, NJ - Those who utilize Veterans Memorial Park to escape their homes for a bit of fresh air during the COVID-19 pandemic will need to adjust their plans - until spring.

According to the Parsippany Police Department the park will be closed, starting Monday, for construction until early spring.

Currently, the 17-acre park located on Route 46 East at Vail Road, features:

  • Walking Path
  • Large bandstand
  • Lawn area for summer concerts
  • Multi-purpose, artificial turf, illuminated field
  • Picnic shelter with electricity and a charcoal grill that can be reserved
  • Memorial honoring all Armed Forces veterans
