• Piscataway Wrestlers Battle at Dessino Invitational, Boys Hoops Steamroll McKee Tech (tapinto.net) — Piscataway High School athletes kicked off the winter season with a strong showing, as Chiefs wrestlers placed sixth at the Mike Dessino Invitational and heavyweight Vincent Williams pinned his opponent in the final. The boys basketball team dominated McKee Tech 76–20 at Edison High, with a deep, balanced scoring effort and stifling defense. Chiefs fans can look ahead to home wrestling vs. Woodbridge and upcoming hoops matchups this week.
   

• NJ woman was desperate, with her dog lost for 9 days. Then a drone company stepped in (nbcnewyork.com) — A local family’s nine-day search for their missing dog in Johnson Park, which stretches across Piscataway and Highland Park, ended in relief thanks to a thermal-imaging drone team. After Dakota was finally spotted in tall reeds and carefully reached by a family friend, she was rushed to the vet for fluids and treatment, and is now safely back home.
