46th Festival Of The Sea In Point Pleasant Beach: What To Know

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — It's that time again — time for all the shrimp, lobster, chowder and more that your appetite desires at the Festival of the Sea in downtown Point Pleasant Beach.

The festival is marking its 46th year food, music, games and fun for adults and kids at Arnold and Bay avenues from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Saturday.

There are more than 250 vendors scheduled to participate, including crafters, local organizations and businesses. There will be local restaurants serving up a taste of their menus and celebrating all things seafood.

The Point Pleasant Chamber of Commerce hosts the event, which also is set to include a wine garden.

  • 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m.: James Dalton
  • 2 p.m.-3 p.m.: Mike Montrey Band
  • 3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.: RED123
  • 5 p.m.-7 p.m.: The Get Down Committee

Plenty of parking is available away from the festival area and shuttles will run from noon to 7 p.m. to and from the following locations:

  • Point Pleasant Boro High School Parking Lot
  • Arnold and Ocean avenues
  • Parkway and Ocean avenues
  • Baltimore Avenue and Broadway
  • Broadway and Ocean Avenue
  • Arnold and Baltimore avenues.

A reminder that there are traffic pattern changes on some streets near the festival area:

  • Grove Street will be one way eastbound from Lincoln Avenue to River Avenue
  • McLean Avenue will be one way westbound from River Avenue to Orchard and Lincoln Avenues.

Residents on Grove Street, McLean Avenue and Orchard Avenue are asked to park their vehicles on the street in the one-way direction from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21.
