POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — If you start hearing sirens in Point Pleasant Beach, don't worry: They're celebrating the Point Pleasant Beach girls soccer team.
Mayor Doug Vitale said the Garnet Gulls girls soccer team won the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group 1 championship Thursday afternoon, beating Metuchen 2-1 in Metuchen.
The bus carrying the team will be escorted into town down Route 35 with sirens and lights going.
