Ocean County Poll Workers Needed For General Election
Get training, earn money as a poll worker in upcoming elections in municipalities throughout Ocean County.
OCEAN COUNTY - The Ocean County Board of Elections is seeking poll workers for the general election on Tuesday, Nov 7.
Poll Workers will be compensated $300 for each election, the county says.
To qualify to be a poll worker, interested individuals must be a registered voter of Ocean County and attend a three-hour poll worker training class. Additional classes may be held for any new laws or changes in election procedures.

Classes are being scheduled now for the 2023 primary election.
On Election Day, poll workers will need to pick up a red supply bag, report to a poll site at 5:15 a.m., prepare the room for voting, open and close the polls and process voters throughout the day.
Poll workers may be placed in a district where a vacancy exists or where more help is needed.
“Every attempt is made to place board workers in or close to the town where they reside,” according to the Ocean County Board of Elections.
