Sad News About A Jenkinson's Aquarium Favorite

Seaquin the harbor seal is ailing, has cancer.

Point Pleasant Beach - Visitors who have enjoyed watching Seaquin the harbor seal at Jenkinson’s Aquarium should come and visit her as soon as they can, according to 92.7 WOBM.

Seaquin - who came to the aquarium back in 1992 when she wasn't even a year old - has been diagnosed with malignant melanoma.

The little seal is still very active and eating well. But recent tests have indicated her cancer is advancing.

Cindy Claus, who has been Seaquin's caretaker for 25 years, said the seal is under the care of a veterinarian and an oncologist.

Seaquin is affectionate and always eager to please, according to her biography on the aquarium's website. Her favorite toys are rings, which she likes to toss at her feeders.
