2 Arrested After Assault, Robbery In Princeton: Police
Two people were arrested on Thursday after an assault and a robbery in Princeton, police said.

PRINCETON – Two people were arrested on Thursday after an assault and a robbery in Princeton, police said.
The incident happened at approximately 2 a.m. when the victim, a 23-year-old man, arrived at Princeton Police Headquarters to report an assault, police said.
While he was at a residence on the first block of Witherspoon Street, the victim said he was involved in a verbal altercation with Angel Gonzalez-Hernandez and Jose Bran-Gonzalez, according to police.

The altercation escalated, and the victim said Gonzalez-Hernandez struck him in the face with his fist and Bran-Gonzalez struck him in the face with the grip portion of a handgun, police said.
The victim also said Gonzalez-Hernandez and Bran-Gonzalez stole cash from him during the assault. The victim then fled the residence and walked to Princeton Police Headquarters to report the assault, police said.

An investigation conducted by the Princeton Police Department Detective Bureau led to the arrest of Gonzalez-Hernandez. Gonzalez-Hernandez was transported to Princeton Police Headquarters, police said.
At 8:20 p.m., the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department SWAT team and officers from the Princeton Police Department executed a search warrant on a residence on the first block of Witherspoon Street. During the warrant execution, Bran-Gonzalez was arrested and transported to Princeton Police Headquarters.
Gonzalez-Hernandez was charged with the following:
- Robbery
- Simple Assault
- Terroristic Threats
Bran-Hernandez was charged with the following:
- Robbery
- Aggravated Assault
- Unlawful Possession of a Weapon
- Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose
- Possession of Marijuana under 50 grams
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Terroristic Threats
Both Gonzalez-Hernandez and Bran-Gonzalez were later transported to the Mercer County Corrections Center.
