2 Princeton U Students Named To USA Basketball 3x3 Nations League Team
Dalen Davis and Caden Pierce will represent the United States for the first time.

PRINCETON, NJ – Two Princeton University basketball players will be heading to Mexico as part of the U.S. men’s Basketball team.
Dalen Davis and Caden Pierce made it to the USA Basketball men’s 2024 3x3 Nations Leagues team.
The team is set to compete at the 2024 FIBA 3x3 Nations League Americas Conference from July 22-28 in Mexico City.

A native of Glen Ellyn, Ill, Pierce was named Ivy League Player of the Year in 2024. The 6-foot-7 forward is the first sophomore to earn the league’s top honors since Harvard’s Seth Towns in 2017-18.
His father Greg Pierce played football at Northwestern, his mother Stephanie Pierce played volleyball at Northwestern and his brother Justin Pierce played three years of college basketball at William and Mary, he now plays professional basketball overseas. His other brother Alec Pierce is a wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts.

Daivs is a freshman at Princeton University and appeared in all 29 games during the 2023-24 season. He was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week two times — once in December 2023 and then in March 2024.
The 6-foot guard has four brothers — Devin who played basketball at Creighton; Davea who played basketball and runs track at St. Ambrose; Davion who is on the Ultimate Frisbee team at Kalamazoo and Damon.
Davis and Pierce will represent the United States for the first time.
According to the International Basketball Federation or FIBA, the seventh edition of the 3x3 Nations League will feature 13 conferences including U23 and U21 teams.
The 2024 FIBA 3x3 Nations League includes seven conferences from Europe, including three U21, two from Africa and Asia, and one each from the Americas and U21 Asia-Pacific.
The FIBA 3x3 Nations League will be a qualification route to the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup 2024. Conference winners will qualify for the event, set for Sept. 11-15 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
The team will attend training camp in Phoenix on July 18-20 before traveling to Mexico.
