After School Events Canceled Due To Storm In Princeton

PRINCETON, NJ — A fierce storm is set to bring heavy rain, and moderate to major flooding to the Garden State on Tuesday.

As Gov. Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency in New Jersey, Princeton Public Schools has announced it has canceled all after school activities and events for Tuesday.

The YWCA aftercare program will close at 4 p.m.

The heaviest rain will fall from 6 p.m. Tuesday to 2 a.m. Wednesday, with several rivers slated to experience “moderate to major flooding” across northern New Jersey and southeast Pennsylvania, the National Weather Service said.

The school district is expected to operate at normal start time on Wednesday. If anything changes parents and guardians will be informed.
