The following is a summary of incidents as reported by Princeton Police:

PRINCETON, NJ — On Sept. 2, at 1 p.m., patrols responded to the 200 block of North Harrison St. for a report of criminal mischief. Investigation determined that sometime around Aug. 28 an unknown suspect(s) wrote in white paint marker, "Free Palestine, Feed Gaza” on an exterior door to the property. The Detective Bureau is investigating.

On Sept. 3, at 5:31 p.m., Princeton Patrols were dispatched to a business on Nassau Street for the report of an individual utilizing fraudulent documents in an attempt to purchase two pieces of jewelry. The man was identified as a 34-year-old Newark man. During the subsequent investigation, the man was found to have used a fraudulent New Jersey driver’s license and credit cards, bearing the name of another person, in an attempt to make a purchase at the business. During the initial interaction with patrols, the man falsely identified himself using the information on the aforementioned documents. Additionally, he was found to have active warrants for his arrest. During the investigation, contact was made with a person who was accompanying the Newark man at the business. He was identified as a 33-year-old Woodbridge man. He was also determined to have active warrants. Both men were placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters, where they were processed. The Newark man was charged with Criminal Attempt with an underlying offense of Theft by Deception, Exhibiting a False Government Document, Possession of a False Government Document, Possession of Stolen Credit Cards, Hindering Apprehension, and two counts of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card. Both men were later transported to the Mercer County Correctional Center, where they were turned over to the custody of their staff.

On Sept. 4, at 10:12 a.m., patrols responded to a home on Houghton Road for the report of a criminal mischief incident. The investigation determined that an unknown actor(s) placed two antisemitic stickers on/within an Outdoor Little Sharing Library, sometime between Aug. 16 and Sept. 03. The Detective Bureau is investigating.

On Sept. 4, patrols were dispatched to a residence on Spring St. on a report of criminal mischief. The victim stated that unknown actor(s) broke two windows on his building sometime between Sept. 2 and Sept. 4. An inspection of the damaged windows revealed a rock on the interior floor where one of the damaged windows was located.

On Sept. 6, at 1:32 a.m., following a motor vehicle stop for failure to stop at a stop sign, the driver was arrested after he was believed to be operating his vehicle while intoxicated. He was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing. After processing, he was issued summonses for Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, Failure to Stop for a Stop Sign, and Failure to Possess a Driver’s License before being released to a sober adult.
