BOE Meeting, Construction Update: Princeton This Week
Here's what's happening in Princeton this week:

The Princeton Board of Education will be meeting on Oct. 17, 7:30 p.m. Residents can attend in person at 5 Valley Road or view the livestream. For the agenda and link to join meeting, click here.

Bond Referendum Virtual Forum
Princeton BOE will host a Bond Referendum Virtual Forum on Oct. 18, 7 p.m. This interactive event will focus on the security, sustainability, technology and maintenance projects included in the Nov. 7 bond referendum. A panel including district leaders, project architects and financial advisers will provide an overview of the improvement plans and funding strategy during the forum. Community members will have the opportunity to ask questions. The Municipality's Planning Board will be meeting virtually on Thursday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. There will be a discussion on the master plan. Click here for the agenda.
Road Construction This Week
- Washington Road may be open as early as Tuesday, Oct. 17, according to the NJDOT.
- Chambers Street will be closed to through traffic on Tuesday, Oct. 17 from 7 a.m. to 4 pm between Nassau Street and 15 Chambers Street for delivery of equipment and materials for the Graduate Hotel.
- Prospect Avenue between Washington Road and Olden Street will have one lane closed all week from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for underground utility work.
- PSE&G Electric and S. Brothers will be coordinating traffic control on Witherspoon Street while the construction of curb and sidewalk continues and electrical upgrades on utility poles take place. Traffic will alternate in one lane through the construction area between Franklin Avenue and Green Street and full closure of Witherspoon Street may be necessary at times. Please be aware of the changing situation throughout the week.
- The Spring Street Garage concrete repairs are continuing. Up to 100 spaces will be unavailable for parking on the upper levels of the garage.
- PSE&G’s contractor, Waters & Bugbee, will be working on gas main replacements on Library Place and Leigh Avenue. New service connections will continue to be installed on Walnut Lane between Valley and Guyot and on Hawthorne between Moore and Walnut. Work will be taking place at the intersections of Jefferson Road at Moore Street, Cuyler Road, and Mt. Lucas Road, and Terhune Road at Mt. Lucas Road. Drivers need to be aware that these roads will be closed at times, and detours will be in place.
- The Prentice Lane subdivision on Snowden Lane may have one lane closed with alternating traffic at times.
- Earle Asphalt will be working on Witherspoon Street between Nassau Street and Wiggins Street during the week of Oct. 16.
