PRINCETON, NJ — On Nov. 26, a caller reported that on November 25 an unknown individual(s) wrote “Free Palestine” and “Gaza Rise” in the newly poured concrete on a sidewalk on Christopher Drive. The damage to the concrete was estimated to be approximately $1,000. The Detective Bureau is investigating.

On Nov. 26, 5:38 a.m., a woman told police that a man, described as a having dark complexion, wearing a black winter coat and dark pants, entered her unlocked vehicle while it was parked in her driveway and attempted to start the vehicle, however, there was no key present. The man then left the area. Patrols responded and checked the area, but the suspect was not found.

On Nov. 27, at 7:41 a.m., a caller reported that on Nov. 26, an unknown person(s) wrote “Free Palestine” in newly poured concrete on an additional sidewalk on Christopher Drive. The damage to the concrete was estimated to be approximately $4,000. The Detective Bureau is investigating.

On Nov. 27, at 7:09 a.m., following an officer finding an open door, a house on Terhune Road was found to have been entered unlawfully and damage was caused to the front and rear doors. Nothing inside of the house was taken.

On Nov. 28, at 9:16 a.m., a caller reported that an unknown person forcibly entered a business on Nassau Street and stole approximately $2,000 in cash and checks. There are no suspects at this time.

On Nov. 28, at 3:51 a.m., following a call for a commercial burglar alarm at a building on Einstein Drive, a 23-year-old Princeton man was found to have forced entry into the building and activated the fire alarm. He was placed under arrest, taken to PPD Headquarters, charged accordingly and released.

On Nov. 29, at 11:37 a.m., following a call for shoplifting that just occurred at a retail establishment on Nassau Street, the accused, an 84-year-old Princeton resident was located and placed under arrest. He was taken to PPD Headquarters where he was charged accordingly and released. He was also found to be in possession of stolen property from another retail establishment in Princeton. He was charged for the second offense as well. The total value of the shoplifted items was $1,268.
