Criminal Attempt, Shoplifting: Princeton Police Blotter

The Princeton Police blotter dated Dec. 17 had the following reports:

PRINCETON, NJ — On Dec. 11, at 10:27 p.m., following a motor vehicle stop for failing to stop at a stop sign, the driver, a 34-year-old Princeton resident, was found to have an active ATS warrant for her arrest out of Princeton Municipal Court for $2,500 with 10 percent option. The woman was placed under arrest and taken to PPD Headquarters, where she was processed. She posted bail and was released with motor vehicle summonses for failure to stop or yield, driving while license suspended or revoked, unlicensed driver and driving an unregistered motor vehicle.

On Dec. 12, at 12:15 p.m., a woman told police that an unknown individual scratched the driver side of her vehicle while it was parked in a marked parking stall at Redding Circle. The woman did not yet have an estimate for the damage to the vehicle at the time of the report. There are no suspects at this time.

On Dec. 13, at 06:46 p.m., a resident reported that an unknown individual(s) attempted to enter his vehicle, which was parked in his driveway. During the attempted burglary, the driver side door handle was damaged, causing him to be unable to enter his vehicle. Further investigation revealed that the NJ Temporary Registration was stolen from the vehicle. The damage to vehicle is unknown.

On Dec. 15, at 5:49 p.m., the manager of a retail store on Hulfish Street reported that two men entered the store and stole an unknown amount of merchandise before fleeing the area in a vehicle. The manager was unable to provide a description of the vehicle. The suspects are described as: Suspect 1- Black male possibly in his early 20's, slim build, wearing all black with a black durag on his head. Suspect 2- Black male possibly in his early 20's, medium build, braided shoulder length hair, wearing all black.

On Dec. 16, at 5:52 p.m., police said two females entered a retail store on Nassau Street and stole $4,590 worth of merchandise. They fled the area in an unknown direction. The suspects were described as: Suspect 1- Black female approximately in her late 20’s, approximately 6’0”, medium build, with red braided hair, a blue hospital mask over her face, wearing a black shirt, and blank pants, carrying a large bag. Suspect 2- Black female approximately in her late 20’s, approximately 5’3”, medium build, with black braided hair, a blue hospital mask over her face, wearing dark clothing, and carrying a large bag.
