Criminal Sexual Contact, Burglary: Princeton Police Blotter

Princeton Police blotter released Aug. 30 had the following reports:

PRINCETON, NJ – On Aug. 13, a caller reported that they saw a man masturbating while operating a motor vehicle while it was traveling on Vandeventer Avenue. Patrols searched the area; however, they were unable to locate the suspect. The Detective Bureau is investigating.

On Aug. 17 at 2:55 a.m., following a motor vehicle stop on Princeton-Kingston Road, a 25-year old Monmouth Junction resident, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. He was taken to PPD Headquarters where he was processed, charged and later released.

On Aug. 18, at 10:51 a.m., a man reported that an unknown individual entered his unsecured vehicle while it was parked at a location on Bayard Lane. Around $35 worth of property was stolen from the vehicle.

On Aug. 19, at 12:16 a.m., following a motor vehicle stop on S. Harrison Street, a 23-year-old Hamilton resident, was found to have an active ATS warrant for his arrest out of Lawrence Twp. Municipal Court for $550. He was placed under arrest, and taken to PPD Headquarters where he was processed, posted bail and was released.

On Aug. 24, at 1:47 a.m., following a motor vehicle stop on Stockton Street, a 24-year-old Ewing resident, was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. He was taken to PPD Headquarters where he was processed, charged accordingly and released.

On Aug. 25, at 9:38 p.m., following an investigation of a Criminal Sexual Contact that occurred on Prospect Avenue, a 25-year-old Trenton man was placed under arrest. He was taken to PPD Headquarters where he was processed, charged accordingly and later released.

On Aug. 25, a caller reported that an unknown suspect shoplifted $165 in merchandise from a retail store on Nassau Street. The suspect, described as a white female, in her early 20s, with long black hair, wearing a white baseball cap, floral dress, and black sandals with a brown/navy blue duffel, took the items and then fled the area in an unknown direction.

On Aug. 25, following an investigation of a verbal dispute, a 19-year-old Princeton resident was placed under arrest after he was found to be in possession of a switchblade-style knife. He was taken to PPD Headquarters where he was processed, charged accordingly and later released.

On Aug. 26, a victim reported that their wallet, containing $680 in cash, was stolen from Albert Way. The wallet contained an Apple Airtag which allowed patrols to pinpoint the location of the stolen wallet. The accused, a 50-year-old Princeton man, was located and placed under arrest. He was taken to PPD Headquarters where he was processed, charged accordingly and released.
