Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to Join Wilson School
Michael G. Mullen has been named the Charles and Marie Roberson Visiting Professor for Fall, 2012.

Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Michael Mullen will join The Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs for the the fall 2012 semester.
Adm. Mullen will be the Charles and Marie Robertson Visiting Professor and will teach in the Wilson School’s undergraduate program. His courses will examine U.S. military, diplomacy and international affairs.

Mullen retired in 2011 after two two-year terms as the highest ranking U.S. military officer and senior military adviser to the president. He guided the U.S. military during two full-scale wars ansd was involved in key aspects of U.S. diplomacy, forging vital relationships with Russia, Pakistan and China.Â
He was the first chairman to focus on the need for a stable domestic economy before a strong defense.

Mullen said he couldn’t be more pleased to spend time at Princeton.Â
