Here’s how the mechanics of the council elections will work, according to Township Attorney Ed Schmierer and Borough Attorney Maeve Cannon.

  • The six council candidates  who receive the highest number of votes in November will become the new members of Borough Council.
  • At the Counci’s first organizational meeting in January, the names of those six names will be put into a hat and then names will be drawn: two for the three year terms, two for the two year terms and two for the one year terms.
