Under The Stars: Mercer's Popular Overnight Park Adventure Set for June 7-8
The overnight family event kicks off at 3 p.m. with activities like fishing sessions, board games, and guided night hikes.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Mercer County's popular annual Come Out and Play Camp Out at Rosedale Park is scheduled to take place Saturday, June 7, through Sunday morning, June 8, 2025, weather permitting.
Executive Dan Benson made the announcement on Thursday. Located in Hopewell Township, Rosedale Park comprises 472 acres, including a 38-acre lake stocked with trout.
"Each year the Camp Out brings together families from across Mercer to experience the joys of nature," Benson said. "We're excited to invite residents to join us this June for another magical evening under the stars."
The overnight family event kicks off at 3 p.m. on Saturday with a variety of activities including naturalist-led fishing sessions, board games, and guided night hikes.
As evening falls, participants will enjoy stargazing, campfire gatherings with hot dogs and s'mores, followed by a continental breakfast and early morning birding walks or family crafts on Sunday before departure at 11 a.m.
Registration opens Monday, May 1, with tickets priced at $15 per person for Mercer County residents and $25 per person for non-residents.
The fee includes light dinner and breakfast, with vegetarian options available by request. Families must provide their own tents.
