Motor Vehicle Theft, Shoplifting: Princeton Police Blotter
The Princeton Police blotter dated May 13 had the following reports:

The following is a summary of incidents as reported by Princeton Police:
PRINCETON, NJ - On May 6, at 3:32 p.m., a woman reported that sometime between Jan. 1 and May 6, an unknown person(s) stole her jewelry valued at $1,550 from within her apartment. There are no suspects at this time.
On May 7, the victim of a construction company reported that scaffolding that belongs to his business was stolen from a residence on Prospect Avenue. The man reported a monetary loss of $6,000. There are no suspects at this time.

On May 7, a man reported that a former coworker stole his vehicle. The man reported that he allowed the 43-year-old Piscataway resident to borrow his $40,000 car approximately two months ago, but has not heard from him since. The Piscataway man was later arrested by the Edison Police Department and subsequently transferred to our department. He was processed at police headquarters and charged with motor vehicle theft before being transported to the Mercer County Correctional Facility.
On May 8, following a motor vehicle stop for improper display of plates and an unregistered vehicle, the driver, 28-year-old Trenton resident, was arrested after he was found to have a warrant for $2,500, that was issued by the Bordentown City Municipal Court. The man was taken to headquarters, where he was processed. Lewis was issued summonses for driving an unregistered vehicle, driving while suspended, no liability insurance, improper display of plates, and failure to have an inspection sticker. After he was processed, he was turned over to the Bordentown City Police Department.

On May 9, subsequent to a motor vehicle stop for maintenance of lamps, a 33-year-old Woodbridge resident was arrested after he was found to have a warrant for $1,500 from the Union Township Municipal Court. He was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed. The man was released on his own recognizance after he was issued a summons for maintenance of lamps.
On May 10, patrol officers were dispatched to a business on State Road after receiving a report of a Hispanic male, estimated to be in his 30s to 40s, wearing a white hat, a large black jacket, gray pants, and black and white shoes. The man was accused of shoplifting two razors and one package of Nicorette gum, with a total value of $198.97. Officers have identified a possible suspect, and the investigation is ongoing.
