Mystery Drones Spotted In Princeton Area, Police Seek Public Help
Drone sightings have been reported across the state. The FBI is now leading the investigation.

PRINCETON, NJ — Mysterious drones were spotted in the Princeton area over the weekend, police said.
The Princeton Police Department is asking the public to report any sightings through images or videos.
“We are aware of recent drone (UAS) sightings in the area. While flying drones in unrestricted airspace is legal, we ask for your help in reporting any sightings, including sharing images or videos that might be able to assist authorities,” Princeton Police said on Facebook.

The Police are especially concerned about drones affecting infrastructure in the Municipality.
"If a drone is interfering with critical infrastructure, please reach out to the Princeton Police Department at 609-921-2100, or 9-1-1 in case of an emergency,” Police said.

“At this time, there are no known immediate or credible threats.”
Drone sightings have been reported across the state, especially in North and South Jersey.
What the drones are doing, and who they belong to, have been the subject of much online conjecture — but authorities have offered little in the way of explanation at this point in the probe.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has taken the lead and is working with New Jersey State Police and the NJ Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness to monitor the aerial visitors, which often appear in groups.
Gov. Phil Murphy said he has communicated with the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security as well.
If Princeton residents spot a drone, they should call the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI (800-225-5324)
They can upload photos or videos at tips.fbi.gov by selecting "Submit a Tip" under the "Other FBI Crimes" tab.
