Thank You For Making The Food Drive a Success

All of the food, cash and receipts went directly to the Crisis Ministry of Princeton and Trenton.

Princeton Patch collected 145 bags of food, $81 in cash and many store receipts during Saturday's food drive at McCaffrey's in Princeton to benefit Crisis Ministry.

The food drive ran from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. All of the donations were given to Crisis Ministry on Saturday evening and will directly benefit Mercer County residents who shop in the Princeton and Trenton food pantries.

Everyone we met on Saturday, whether they chose to donate or not, was so pleasant and kind, it made the entire day a wonderful experience and we just want to say a huge "Thank You."

A special thank you to a fantastic group of teen volunteers from Kids for Kids in West Windsor, they were a huge help! Also thank you to the Princeton Shopping Center, McCaffrey's Supermarket and Crisis Ministry.

Donations included cans of tuna, salmon and chili, fresh oranges, squash, beans, rice, boxes of potatoes, soup, juice, among many other items.

Just thinking of how that food will make a difference that will make in people's lives puts a huge smile our faces and we're grateful for the support.
