New Chipotle Opens In East Windsor Town Center Plaza

The restaurant is located in the vacant spot formerly occupied by Capital One Bank.

EAST WINDSOR, NJ — A new Chipotle restaurant opened in East Windsor Town Center Plaza on Route 130.

Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members David Russell, Alan Rosenberg and John Zoller joined General Manager Sandeep Kumar, management team and staff for the grand opening and ribbon cutting recently.

The 2,746 square foot restaurant is located in the vacant spot formerly occupied by Capital One Bank.

"The Township appreciates this investment by Chipotle in East Windsor including the creation of 60 new local jobs, of which over 25 are area high school students,” Mironov said.

Chipotle Mexican Grill, an American casual restaurant chain, has over 2,600 locations worldwide. Founded in 1993, they specialize in tacos and made-to-order Mission burritos.

The menu includes burritos, burrito bowls, salads, kids meals, tortilla chips, guacamole, salsa and queso. In 2018, Chipotle began a pilot program recycling their used plastic gloves into waste bags that they use in 43 percent of their own restaurants and committed to diverting 50 percent of their waste from landfills during 2020.
