Police Log: Burglary, Shoplifting and More

The following incidents were reported by Princeton Police between March 20 and March 31, 2013

 

On March 20 at 12:19 p.m., police responded to a home in the 200 block of Valley Road for a report of a burglary. Officers discovered the  rear door had been forced open and the interior ransacked. It was not immediately known the extent of the items, if any, that were taken.

On March 25 at 10:35 a.m., a victim in the 100 block of Birch Avenue reported that between March 4 and March 21, they had received approximately 40 harassing phone calls. An investigation continues.

On March 29 at 2:48 p.m., a clerk at a business in the first block of Spring Street report that three teenage girls were in the store within the last 15 minutes and while the clerk was attending to other customers, had shoplifted several items totalling about $275.

On March 29 at 11:20 p.m., a 19-year-old Princeton man was arrested and charged with being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance. 

Princeton Police received a call about a person smoking marijuana in the first block of Mulberry Road. Arrested was Bedirhan Yuksel, of Jonathan Dayton Court. Yuksel was arrested, processed at police headquarters and later released to a friend with a pending court date.

On March 31 at 3:32 a.m., a 23-year-old man from Burlington Township was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. 

Police stopped a vehicle driven by Myles Warner, 23, of Burlington on Nassau Street near Bayard Lane and determined that Warner was driving after consuming alcoholic beverages. 

Warner was arrested, taken to police headquarters and processed. He was later released to a friend with a pending court date.
