Police Log: Man Found Sleeping in Someone Else's Car & More
The following incidents were reported by Princeton Police for the period of May 2-5.

On May 2 at 9:19 a.m., a maintenance worker for the Griggs Farm development on Billie Ellis Lane reported the theft of copper pipe from a facility laundry room. An investigation revealed that approximately 20 feet of pipe was taken, with a sink having been damaged in the process. The cost to replace the items was not immediately known.

On May 3 at 10:55 p.m., Sgt. JoAnne Malta stopped James Heavey, 39, of New York City for a motor vehicle violation on Mercer Street near Lovers Lane. An investigation revealed that Heavey had been drinking and driving. He was arrested and charged with DWI and taken to police headquarters. He was later released to a friend.
On May 4 at 11:18 p.m., Ptl. Luis Navas observed Brett Leibowitz, 22, of Newport Beach, Calif. and another male in the first block of Prospect Street smoking a suspected marijuana cigarette. Leibowitz and the other man ran from the police, but Leibowitz was caught after a short chase. He was arrested and charged with possession/being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, resisting arrest via flight and municipal eluding. He was taken to police headquarters and later to released on his own recognizance to a friend.

On May 4 at 7:04 p.m., during a Stop Underage Drinkers Investigation, Ptl. Luis Navas saw Obianuju Obioha, 20, of Potomac Md. buy alcohol from a store in the 200 block of Nassau Street. Obioha had a fake New York driver's license. Obioha was arrested and charged with tampering with public records and underage possession of alcohol. She was released on her own recognizance pending a court date.
On May 5 at 1:01 a.m., Stephen Browne, 33, of Oklahoma City, Okla. was stopped by Ptl. Michael Schubert for a motor vehicle violation on Nassau Street near Washington Road. An investigation revealed that Browne had been drinking and driving. Browne was arrested and charged with DWI and DWI in a school zone. He was later released to a friend.
On May 5 at 8:11 p.m., police responded to a call in the 200 block of Nassau Street for a report of a person sleeping in the caller's vehicle, apparently intoxicated. Peter Rogers, 19, of Harverford, Penn. was found inside the vehicle. He was arrested by Ptl. Luis Navas, charged with criminal trespass, and issued a summons. He was later released to a relative.
