Police Log: More Than $45,000 Worth of Handbags Stolen and More
Princeton Police reported the following incidents between May 13-15.

On May 13 at 5:56 p.m., a Toyota driven by Christian Giles, 17, of Princeton and a Toyota driven by Elizabeth Socolow, 72, of Lawrenceville were both traveling west on Hamilton Avenue near the intersection of Walnut Lane when the Giles hit the back of Socolow's vehicle. Socolow was taken to University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro for treatment of neck pain. Giles was issued a summons for careless driving.
On May 13 at 4:41 p.m., a caller in the first block of Hillsdale Road reported that sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., someone forced open the home's rear door. It was not immediately known if anything had been stolen from inside.

On May 14 at 11:30 p.m. During a motor vehicle stop on South Harrison Street near Prospect Avenue, Kabbila Ford, 23 of Trenton provided false information to police about her identity. An investigation revealed that Ford had active warrants totalling $550 from Lawrence Township Municipal Court. Ford was charged with hindering her own apprehension and turned over to Lawrence Police after she was unable to post bail.
On May 14 at 6 p.m., a victim in the 100 block of Griggs Drive reported that over an 18-month period, an acquaintance forged her name on several checks and stolen more than $80,000. An investigation continues.

On May 14 at 12:08 p.m., an employee of CVS Pharmacy on Nassau Street reported that someone had stolen items form the store within the past 15 minutes. The suspect is described as a white male, 20-30 years old, short brown hair, medium build, approx. 5’10” tall, wearing a dark long sleeved t-shirt and blue jeans. The exact amount of the theft was not immediately unknown.
On May 15 at 11:05 a.m., the manager of a store in the first block of Hullfish Street report the theft of several items, stolen by men who fled on foot. According to the store manager, the men stole 18 handbags totalling an estimated $45,000, while also threatening bodily harm to store employees. The suspects are described as three black males, all approximately 6’ tall and 20-30 years old. No injuries were reported.
