Stacy Young Appointed New Principal Of Princeton’s Johnson Park Elementary School
The new principal is an alumna of Princeton Public Schools

PRINCETON, NJ - The Princeton Board of Education on Tuesday approved the appointment of Stacy Young as the new principal of Johnson Park Elementary School.
Young will be taking over from Christopher Sheridan, who submitted his letter of resignation, which will be effective Jun 30
”Not only is Stacy Young an accomplished leader, she is a proud alumna of Princeton Public Schools,” Interim Superintendent Kathie Foster said.

Young joins PPS from Montgomery Township School District, where she served as the Director of Equity, Data, and Accountability.

In this role, she collaborated with district administrators to review policies, procedures, and practices to ensure equity and inclusivity.
Young built and led the District Equity Leadership Team, served as the district anti-bullying coordinator, served as the district test coordinator, and is a trained affirmative action officer. She also worked in the Bound Brook School District in a similar capacity, as Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Young also has held roles as a Supervisor of English, an Assistant Director of an Alternate Route Teaching Program, and an English Language Arts Teacher.
“I’m truly so honored to be stepping into this new chapter with JP. I can’t wait to get to know the students, staff, and families, and to see firsthand all the wonderful things that make JP such a special place. I’m especially excited to work together to make sure everyone feels seen, heard, valued, and that they belong. And as a proud product of PPS, it's also just so special to be coming back home,” Young said.
Young grew up in the Witherspoon Jackson neighborhood of Princeton, attending Community Park Elementary School. Though she no longer lives in Princeton, she still enjoys visiting, especially to eat at Olives and Blue Pointe Grill. She is married with a two-year-old daughter, and two dogs named Grace and Zoe.
