Princeton Dems Win, BOE Results Remain Close: Unofficial Results
The Democratic candidates for Mayor and Council won their unopposed races in Princeton.

PRINCETON, NJ – The Democratic candidates for Mayor and Council in Princeton have won their races. The candidates ran unopposed.
With 100 percent of districts reporting, Mayor Mark Freda received 9,329 votes (99.64%) with council candidates Leighton Newlin getting 8,966 votes (49.73%) and Brian McDonald receiving 9,024 (50.05%) votes.
Meanwhile, the hotly contested Board of Education race remains tight as of Wednesday morning.

With all 20 percent districts reporting, Mara Franceschi (5,326 votes), Christopher Santarpio (4,618), and Ari Meisel (4,443) remain in the lead, closely followed by Erica Snyder(4,310) and Z. Lisa Potter (4,148).

Mail-in ballots will continue to be counted. The official results of the 2024 General Election will be certified by the County Board of Canvassers on or before November 20, 2024 .
