During the three month pilot program in Princeton, more than 60 tons of waste went into the green bins (and ultimately to compost) instead of a landfill, saving more than $7,500 in trash disposal costs.Â
The $65 fee includes a 32-gallon cart, a kitchen collector and a supply of bags.Â
