Princeton Middle School Basketball Finishes Season With Best Record

For the first time in school history, the team made it to the Middle School Mercer County Basketball Tournament Finals.

PRINCETON, NJ —The Princeton Middle School Basketball Program finished its season this year with the best record in school history, according to coach Jason Carter.

For the first time in school history, the team made it to the Middle School Mercer County Basketball Tournament Finals that took place Thursday, Feb. 16.

The team finished their season with 20 wins and just three losses.

On Feb. 16 the team took on their strongest opponent, Fisher Middle School, against whom they lost all their three games.

During Thursday’s game, the PMS had a good start and led Fisher 10-2 in the first quarter.

Fisher then regained control with two dunks that changed the momentum of the game. The final score was Fisher 60, PMS 38.

“Although the Championship game didn't go our way, the preparation, planning and performance of the event will help build their character for all other future challenges and endeavors," Coach Carter said.

The team is now looking forward to an upcoming season of challenging games.
