Weekend Guide: Stand Against Racism, Communiversity and More

There's so much to do in Princeton this weekend. On Saturday alone, the town will be packed with visitors for Communiversity and the Trinity Rummage Sale.

 

Friday

Stand Against Racism begins at 8:15 a.m. at the Palmer Square Green, followed by a march to for a video presentation of "The Princeton Plan: 50 Years Later" about desegregation of the Princeton Public Schools. Guest speakers will be Shirley Satterfield and Henry Pannell.

at the Princeton University Art Museum, Friday at 12:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.

Rummage Preview Sale, 6:30 to 9 p.m.

 loosely based on the Apocryphal tale of Susannah and the Elders fromthe Book of Daniel; a story of the timeless exploration of intolerance, jealousy and human fallibility, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. 

 

Saturday

Symposium on Race at Princeton University will feature winners of the Princeton Prize in Race Relations and Robert Kim, senior counsel in the Office of Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Education, 9 a.m. noon.

Rummage Sale, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

brings the town and University together for a day of performances, food, games and more, Nassau and Witherspoon streets and the University campus, noon to 5 p.m. 

A documentary film, "Call of Life: Facing the Mass Extinction" investigates the growing threat from an unprecedented decline of biodiversity, 3 p.m. 

A performance by the classic rock band Pi Fight will close the Communiversity celebration, 5 p.m. 

 

Sunday

will feature eight New Jersey farmers offering fresh produce, honeys, jersey jams, mushrooms, cheeses, pickles and more. The day includes demonstrations and a free workshop on starting your own vegetable garden by Judith Robinson, manager of the Princeton Farmer's Market, 11 am to 3 p.m. 

will hold an , followed by a Family Fun Skate, 1 p.m. 

ADHD expert Dr. Anthony Rostain will give a talk, "Understanding the Medications Used to Treat ADHD in Children, Adolescents and Adults," 3 to 4:30 p.m.
