Princeton’s Milk & Cookies To Close Store After 8 years
The owner thanked the community for supporting a small business and making her dreams come true.
PRINCETON, NJ - After eight years of serving up homemade treats and creating countless memories, Princeton's Milk & Cookies will close its doors at the end of June.
For Lauren and her team at Milk & Cookies, the small storefront evolved into a cornerstone of the Princeton community—a place where the aroma of fresh-baked cookies mingled with the warmth of human connection.
"It's hard to put into words what this little shop has meant to me," Lauren shared in her heartfelt announcement. "It's been my dream, my second home, and a place filled with love, laughter, and an awful lot of chocolate and butter."

Located on Nassau Street, Milk & Cookies became a witness to life's beautiful progression. Lauren said she watched children grow up before her eyes, their small hands once barely reaching the counter now tall enough to peer over glass cases filled with tempting treats.
“Over the years, I’ve watched kids grow up before my eyes, shared stories with so many of you, and felt the joy of being part of your celebrations, quiet moments, and everything in between. I never imagined how much community, comfort, and connection would come from one small cookie shop—but I’ve felt it every single day.

While the decision to close wasn't made lightly, Lauren describes it as feeling like "the right time." After eight years of early mornings, late nights, and countless batches of dough, she's choosing to close this chapter "with a full heart and endless gratitude."
Milk & Cookies will remain open through Sunday, June 29, giving the Princeton community a few more chances to visit their neighborhood sweet spot.
"If you've ever wondered whether you made someone's dream come true—you did," Lauren wrote on Instagram, highlighting how community support helped sustain a small business.
