PRINCETON, NJ – With Princeton seeing an uptick in uptick in car burglaries and motor vehicle thefts, the police department has shared a list of dos and don’ts for residents to follow.
According to the Princeton Police blotter, close to eight such incidents occurred in the past week in the area.
“In many of these cases, the vehicles involved were left unlocked. These incidents are often crimes of opportunity, and the simplest way to help protect your property and your neighborhood is by locking your car doors and the doors to your home, even when you're inside or just stepping away for a short time,” police said.
