Princeton University Ranks #1 in U.S. News & World Report's Best Colleges Rankings
The annual report has placed Princeton University atop the list for the second year in a row.

U.S. News & World Report has ranked Princeton University as the nation's best college in its 2014 Best Colleges ranking.
This year Princeton is alone at the top of the list, after tying with Harvard University last year. Harvard ranked second this year with Yale University in third place.
The magazine evaluates colleges based on academic excellence and ranks them against their peer schools. In a change this year, less weight was given to where applicants ranked in their high school classes, but more weight was given to the colleges' retention and graduation rates, as well as incoming students ACT and SAT scores.
