Looking for things to do this weekend? Here's our roundup of fun and interesting things going on in Princeton.

 

Friday

Princeton University's Patricia Fernandez-Kelly will be the keynote speaker on National Immigration Reform at YWCA Princeton during a national Stand Against Racism Event, Bramwell House, Noon. 

 Learn about pointe shoe brands, materials, fitting, and different personal tricks and adjustments from ARB's ballerinas, 5:15 p.m.

Pinot to Picasso, the Arts Council of Princeton's spring fundraising event.  Sip wine and sample fine foods while perusing the Tombola gallery. Ticket holders enjoy an Italian style art lottery where everyone wins. Proceeds support community arts initiatives, 6:30 p.m. 

Princeton University Orchestra and Glee Club collaborate on Poulenc's Gloria and Ravel's "Daphnis et Chloe"  for the Stuart B. Bindlin Memorial Concert, Richardson Auditorium, Alexander Hall, Princeton University, 7:30 p.m.

Saturday

Princeton Athletic Club hosts a 6K Run through Institute Woods. Registration required, 10 a.m. 

A scavenger hunt for middle-schoolers and teens. Group will compete to find hidden treasures across the community and Princeton University. Meet in the Story Room on the third floor of the Princeton Public Library, 10 a.m. 

Lambertville Shadfest 2013. The festival highlights the region's arts community, Lambertville, the Delaware River, and of course, Shad  Featuring artists and crafters and food and family entertainment, 12:30-5:30 p.m. 

Farm 2 Grill event at Mrs. G. TV & Appliances. Celebrate Earth Month with a Jersey fresh market featuring locally grown food to sample and purchase. Grilling, live entertainment, free canning and freezing workshop with Judith Robinson, manager of the Princeton Farmers' Market, 1- 4 p.m.

A concert at Princeton Public Library exploring the sounds and history of various Chinese instruments including erhu, guzheng, pipa, xun, xiao, dizi, and combinations with Western instruments. Visitors will have an opportunity to play the instruments. Community Room, 3 p.m. 

Princeton Education Foundation Gala. PEF's third annual Be True To Your School spring gala raises funds to benefit all students of the Princeton Public Schools. The evening includes cocktails, dinner. Tickets available here. Nassau Inn, 7 p.m.  

Cafe Improv at Arts Council of Princeton. An evening of music, poetry, and comedy, 7 p.m.

Lambertville Shadfest 2013. The festival highlights the region's arts community, Lambertville, the Delaware River, and of course, Shad  Featuring artists and crafters and food and family entertainment, 12:30-5:30 p.m. 

Communiversity Festival of the Arts, an afternoon of non-stop music and entertainment on five stages and over 200 booths with artists, craftspeople, merchants, food vendors, nonprofit and community organizations, 1-6 p.m. 

The Richardson Chamber Players present " Something Slavic," featuring works by Bartok, Rachmaninoff, Bach, Chopin and Dvorak, Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall, Princeton University, 3 p.m.
