​Princeton Schools To Seek New Leadership As Johnson Park Principal Steps Down​

Christopher Sheridan was appointed to the role in May 2024, when he took over from Angela Siso Stentz.

PRINCETON, NJ – The principal of Johnson Park Elementary School has resigned from his post.

Christopher Sheridan has submitted his letter of resignation, which will be effective Jun 30, according to the Princeton Board of Education agenda for Tuesday.

The district will now begin its search for the next principal.

Sheridan was appointed to the role in May 2024, when he took over from Angela Siso Stentz, who assumed the role of assistant superintendent for human resources at the school district.

Sheridan has 17 years of experience as an educator and was chosen by a committee of PPS administrators, teachers, and parents.

A resident of Robbinsville, Sheridan was the assistant principal at Delran Intermediate School in Delran, NJ, before coming to Johnson Park Elementary. He held that position for close to five years.

Sheridan earned his bachelor’s degree in history and a master's degree in educational leadership from Montclair State University.

He began his career in 2007 as a fifth-grade teacher at the Jersey City Community Charter School in Jersey City.

In 2011 began work as a teacher at T.G. Connors School in Hoboken. From 2012 to 2019, he was first a teacher and later dean of students and programs for grades K-3 at Joseph F. Brandt Primary School in Hoboken.
